Masjid Bilal Has Secured 2 Properties

Dear Brother/Sister,

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our everyday life, we hope and pray to Allah that you and your loved ones are in the best of health and Iman.

Masjid Bilal’s programs and services have been and will remain in modified operation as per Ottawa Public Health instructions to reduce the risk to public health and safety. In these challenging times, it is crucial that each and every one of us continues to follow Ottawa Public Health guidelines as well as pray and turn to Allah.

We are proud of the fact that despite these unprecedented times, through the sheer grace of Allah, unwavering commitment and support of community members, Masjid Bilal has been able to successfully achieve its various targets and milestones, such as regular upkeep related expenses or major investments.

In Ramadan 2019, Allah granted Masjid Bilal and its community with a blessed opportunity for future development by providing 2 properties to the East of the Masjid. Together we were able to raise the required funds ($1.2 Million) in the form of Qard Hasan (interest free) loans and donations to complete the purchase transactions of both properties on their due dates. Alhamdulillah.

Currently Masjid Bilal has $250,000 owing in Qard Hasan loans to pay back those generous community members/organizations that helped us in our time of need. May Allah accept their support. Ameen.

We are reaching out to all, seeking your support and help in raising funds to meet this target to pay back the Qard Hasan loans. Your support and du’a (prayers) have been fruitful in this world and will also be a source of enormous reward in the hereafter Insha’Allah.
